Hi, I'm back, it's quite sometimes I didn't write, actually feel very lazy to write, anyway it just a journal and not a diary that should write on daily basis. Em............where to start, i think i should start with my parent in-law visited in the month of october 2007 (19th October 2007 to 4th November 2007), well.... everyone were happy with their grandparents. We had a picnic at the corniche park on the next day their arrived (20th October 2007) with Iza's family, hamidah's family, Faizah' family, kak Sharidah's family and kak Puspa with hubby.

The following weekend we went to Al-Ain Green park for another picnic, just wanted to show my in-law on oasis and the most greenest part in the UAE, the next day we went to Dubai.

The last weekend before they left we had our annual family's day (which is my anniversary), everyone so excited, the best part was my father in-law aslo participated in the games. We had football, cricket, drawing. word search, lumba lari, lompat katak etc. We had fifteen games and the overall winner was spice (juara bertahan, bilalah cabai nak beat ni... jangan marah cabai, try again next year)

What else to write, this month I had finished four more quilts, one for Syazwan (hand quilted which took me three months to complete it, finally I finished it on 9th Dec 2007) one for kak long, one for kakngah and one for farhan (the rest just a simple machine quilted).

Actually, Syazwan's quilt is telling about himself, his favourite games (football, cricket, swimming, skateboard), he was born in october means libra and the year of rat (I made it as a computer mouse), he want to be a pilot (the aeroplane) and the three flowers means he has three beautiful ladies in his life at the moment (his mother and his two sisters). His colours are black and white ( although i prefer more colourful), which he chosed by himself. I think that all, my next quilt project is for Farhan, so I should start to draw about him........

Last friday (21 December 2007) Fardan was admitted at Al Salama hospital beause of asthma attacked. Before that we were planned to go to Al-Ain for camping, it turn out we had a camping in the hospital, tapi it ok, we can go next time once adik recover, betul tak..... This month i had two birthday parties, one for farhan and one for fardan, happy birthday boys... i just made them a chocolate moist cake and fruit tartlet and the birthday presents were soccer matches andV-smile, hope they enjoy it very much.

Hi, lama betul dah tak updated this journal, don't know where to start..., i think start with eid mubarak. This year i berhari raya dengan kak long, kak Ngah, Farhan and Fardan, cik abang and Syazwan balik berhari raya di Malaysia, emm...sedih jugaklah di malam raya tu maklumlah this the first time we raya separately,.. anyway pagi raya which was on Friday 12, 2007 (kat M'sia the celebrate on Sat 13, 2007) we went to the park as usual, i masak rendang ayam, nasi impit, kuah kacang, and instant ketupat pulut. Zamani datang pick-up at 8.15am, kat sana ada zamani's family, faizah's family, hapizah's family, Hamidah's family, norizan's family, Azlina's family and Azimah's family. Macam-macam ada, laksa, mee hoon, rendang macam-macam jenis, lontong, and all the cookies yang beranika jenis, we stayed there until 1.30pm, balik rumah, relax kejap, petang after ashar we went to the embassy, adalah makan satay and nasi dagang, balik just before maghrib 5.45pm. Penatlah jugak but not so bad the celebration although cik abang tak ada. But the next, i batuk, Fardan and Kak Ngah start balik, i think minum ice banyak sangat.

Tommorrow my hubby will be backed with my mother-in-law and father-in-law and this saturday plan another picnic at the part.

Cerita pasal Quilt, last July, i made a small quilt for Fairuz Roqqayah (Fakhrul's daughter), now tengah nak siapkan quilt for Syazwan. Lupa nak cerita, last summer holiday i went backed to m'sia for one month, pergi holiday at Port Dickson, went back to Gurun, than went back to Kuala Lipis, tapi sempat pergi belajar folk art drawing at creative cottage, so i learn to draw roses, hydrangear and fruits.

Almost a week since school holiday and nothing much to do, i had an asthma since last tuesday, Fardan had a cough and flu since last week, the same goes to the others except for bapa, who maintain, tak taulah esok ke lusa ke kena pulak kan... Anyway, outsite very hot today temperature about 44 C, thinking about to go out, pun dah malas, tapi sekarang banyak sales, cuma nak keluar tu yang tak larat.

So all the time at home, activities, cooking and baking, last week i tried to make cinnamon bun, last tuesday i made roasted chicken together with coleslaw, mashed potatoes and bun. Next week try another type of bread. So summer ni, process mengemukkan badan lagilah nampaknya. Bila nak kurus tak taulah. Bears they hybrid in winter tapi we all hybrid in summer, terbalik pulak.

Quilting project, tengah buat quilt for Fairuz Rogayyah (Tuta's daughter) hopefully by next month siap, insyaAllah. After that kena quilt buat for Syazwan pulak, since due in October 2007 (his birthday on 3rd October), so i still have 3 months to complete it. We will going back to Malaysia on 7th August 2007 till 6th September 2007 with Etihad airways, just about a month. Mula ingat tak nak balik tapi duduk kat sini tak larat, tak tau nak pergi mana sebab panas so decided to go back, and the only ticket available are in August, nak buat macam mana kenalah sabar sebulan lagi.

Yesterday, the art & class craft very enjoyable, we make a cushion cover. Datin draw camel and wau bulan. So everyone make a template and draw at the fusible. Tapi sayang i tak sempat nak habis pukul 11.30am dah nak balik sebab nak pick-up Fardan balik sekolah at 12.10pm. Punyalah panas nak tunggu teksi, nasiblah dapat, risau jugak takut terlambat, nanti menangis pulaklah Fardan. Sekarang panas betul, nak keluarpun rasa tak larat.

This saturday, 19th May 2007, the perwakilan of the embassy pergi trip to Sharjah blue souq. Bertolak pukul 8.00am and balik pukul 6.00pm. Tak taulah apa ada kat sana, tapi oklah jugak i bawak the two girls. Hoping this trip would be enjoyable.

Yesterday was a kinderegarden concert at Cambridge High School, I went with Jane (hannah's mother). The concert was lovely and Fardan was there, but i'm not sure whether his sing or not but he looked enjoy it.

This morning, i went with Madeline to the Pfaff shop, plan to buy a new sewing maching that can do free motion. Unlucky that particular model was out of stock, the only available that price more than AED1,500.00 which i don't think i can afford to buy. So kenalah postpone lagi until i get the cheaper one.

Tomorrow plan to go to the M'sia embassy because start from tomorrow (every tuesday) they have a art and craft class. See what they plan to do tomorrow.

Hi, dah lama betul tak updated my blog since busy with the kids exam and holiday. Where to start....on 5th April 2007, last day exam so everyone happy and i'm also released tension exam dah habis, so imagine bolehlah relex sikit, tapi bertambah stress ada kot, coz rumah makin semak, the two boys dok bising berlari sana sini, bertambah pening ada. I pun heran diaorang ni asyik lapaq aje, makan non-stop kalau tak ada makanan, mama bila nak masak? mama masak apa? mama petang ni makan apa? mama makanan tak ada ke? Mama nak pergi emirate (supermarket) beli makanan tak? Masa sekolah tak pulak lapaq, masa cuti asyik lapaq aje...

Anyway on the 5th April 2007, I bought another book from Cynthia, title the Garden Party, cantik betul, i think i'm crazy about her quilt since she also love flower. This the project that i should do for this summer since i'm not going back to Malaysia, so kenalah fikirkan project to keep me more busy since summer tak boleh nak pergi mana panas sangat kat luar tu and tambah pulak cuti sekolah, selain memang guarantee kena duty most of the time kat dapur aje so kenalah fikir buat kerja yang luar sikit dari dapur to release stress memasak all day long.

On 7th April 2007, we went to Bookfair 2007 at Exhibition centre Abu Dhabi, the kids got coupon DHS50.00 each, so total coupons were DHS220.00 since adik only got DHS20.00. So everyone beli buku sakan, i pun tumpang sekali lah, i bought a book title 'life is huge' by Susan Jeffers, interesting about how to appreciate life and look it in the positive ways. My hubby pun bought a books, the kids bought comic books and story books and for adik the barney books. Oklah tu dapat duit free, kat Malaysia mana nak dapat government bagi duit to buy a book. In here the government sponsor total DHS3M for school children to buy a book.

Last week on 10th April 2007, i made a new bedsheet for the children one each, kak Long flower motif, kak Ngah choose power puff girls and the boys all batman, seronok diaorang.

On 12th April 2007, we went to Dubai, just to take a break, we went to Naif souk, bertolak from Abu Dhabi at 7.20 am tapi sampai kat Naif on 11.30am after sesat so many time(kesian my hubby, tension dia, lepas ni tak taulah boleh pergi lagi kat naif ni tak, anyway thanks a lot for bring us there). In here(Dubai) everyone say that you have to go to pulwani at naif souk since all Malaysian yang datang kat Dubai mesti pergi shopping kat sana, in fact the last Agong pun datang shopping kat pulwani, so i pun teringinlah nak tengok apa yang best sangat tu, so kamipun pergilah kat pulwani ni, entahlah may be i do not the type yang suka shopping kot, i tengok sama aje macam kat Abu Dhabi nothing really interested me, i just bought tudung for me and abaya for the girls. Lepas tu we went to Mall of Emirate for lunch and solat zohor, kat sini we went to Border (favourite kak Long, betul ke?) and Virgin bookstore. Then shopping kat carrefour bought food for camping tomorrow. We back to Abu Dhabi about 6.00pm

On Friday 13th April 2007, we went to camping at Green Mubazzarah, Al-Ain, the same place we went last December 2006. Bertolak after solat Jumaat, sampai around 4.00pm, sampai aje the boys solat asar and i prepared the food, hotdog and burger, lepas makan barulah ada energy to setup tent, this time we camping betul-betul depan kolam hot spring, so bolehlah kalau nak mandi, we plan the girls we stay up untill 2.00am after that the boys will take over, tapi tak jadi, kak Ngah dah tidur pukul 11pm lepas tu kak Long pulak tidur pukul 12am, so tinggallah i sorang-sorang jadi jaga, tapi sempat jugaklah i siapkan template for my next quilt. Lepas tu, Syazwan jaga nak minum air about 1.00am, adalah jugak kawan i untuk bersembang, the girls dah lena habis dah, then Farhan jaga, my hubby pun jaga and last adikpun jaga, best jugak all the boys boleh jagapun, sembang-sembang sambil goreng cekodok dah dekat pukul 2.00am, lepas makan diaorang main bola, adik seronok betul main, lepas tu i pun dah naik mengantuk, diaorang sambung main criket. Orang masih ramai lagi yang datang and yang balik, i pun heran memang dia orang ni suka keluar malam ke? Pukul 4.00am barulah the boys masuk tidur tapi masa tu orang lain masih ramai lagi kat taman tu. About 5.15am woke-up and solat subuh, prepared breakfast, diaorang bangun aje terus mandi kat kolam hot spring, seronok betul diaorang, mandi air pulak suam-suam. Start to pack around 8.00am lepas tu bertolak balik sebab hari pun dah naik panas. Sampai rumah semua penat, sambung tidur balik, tapi petang keluar lagi pergi Mina Centre, beli barang rumah and diaorang nak pergi taman lagi, balik 7.00pm, I rasa penat betul, the next day tak larat nak bangun, really exhausted, penat betul. Today diaorang start sekolah, i pun mulalah start mengemas bilik masing-masing, macam-macam jumpa barang, bawah katil, balik bakul, dalam bakul apalah diaorang ni buat, suruh kemas, tapi macam-macam sampah disimpannya.

Quilting book

Lupa nak cerita, on 14 February 2007, i bought a quilting book, title tea in the garden, quilts for a summer afternoon, the book cost me AED115.00, very expensive, anyway i bought the book from the author itself, Cynthia Tomaszewski (personal delivery). Just to share, i thought she was young because from her website photo (from where i get to know about this book) she look around mid thirties, but when i met her, i think she about fifties or sixties, but she look very active and full of energy. It remind me that in end 2002, i went for a seminar organised by ehomemaker in PJ, and one of the speaker was Mrs Jangit Singh,I met her infornt of lulu centre just across the road from my house. She told me last two years, she went to sabah (pergi mount kinabalu), so imagine that age can still climb mountain, i wish when i become that age i'm also have so much energy and healthy. But the most important thing i think, positive thinking and attitude. She quote in her book " life is for living! you should never have any regrets or have to say 'I wish I had ...'. She now busy with her quilt business. One very good think i admire her, what she like about quilt almost the same what i like. She like applique more than patchwork especially flower motifs, she like baking and reading. In her book also included thirteen recipe of muffins (this i should try and so far haven't). 1st March 2007

Today, Thursday, everyone as usual at school and my hubby in Doha, Qatar for a week since yestarday and be back by next Wednesday night. Emm... last week i'm finished my flower quilt and now i'm doing the next project, a sewing machine cover and aslo cushion cover. Since this weekend tak pergi mana kenalah buat project menjahit.

Fardan at school

First day at school was on 1st February 2007, KG2D, he was excited but the mom was nervous. So far the first day was success, dia tak menangis and looked very happy played with other kids in his classroom, and his teacher name Miss Donna, and want to go to school again tomorrow. Second day was on Sunday 4th February 2007, still look forward to go to school and his woke-up very early about 4.30am, but at school his started to cry, tanya pasal apa, " adik nak mama", so kak long, kak Ngah and abang Njang pujuklah kata mama tak boleh pergi school dengan adik sebab mama tak ada kereta. So explaination accepted. Yesterday the third day of school menangis sangat. Sebab mama tak ada and nak hug kak long teacher tak bagi. and today the mood still slow nak pergi sekolah and i sent him to the bus, bila nampak Hannah (the same KG2) baru nampak dia ada mood sikit, hoping today his okay and doing well in the class. InsyaAllah.

Hi, been weeks from the last posting, first of all keyboard rosak sebab kena tumpah milo, so nak ganti baru takes time because this the third time kena tukar, bosspun bisinglah pasal keyboard ni, jadinya lambatlah tukar, nak guna keyboard on-screen tu, penat nak typelah. Anyway, cerita apa nak tulis that happened this few weeks, i think first of all to congratulate the kids, kak long, kak Ngah, Bang Lang and Bang Njang sebab dapat very good result from last term exam, well done everyone. Mama and Bapa very happy. This term and next term should maintain the good result or even better since nak dapat ps 2 kan. Dah dapat duit banyak-banyak tu tak nak belanja mama and bapa makan KFC ke? Burger King?...

On 11th Jan 07, I started to learn smocking dengan Iza, interesting tapi rasa cerewet sebab nak kena draw line one by one, i think more than hundred lines need to draw sampai sakitlah bahu mengarisnya, tapi now almost done, tinggal nak decorate with bullions to make it more nice and expensive. Nanti kalau dah siap i attach it here, insyaAllah. At the same time i nak siapkan my applique for the new quilt, so far the blanket stitch done tinggal nak buat embroidery on the leaves. Apa lagi project dah buat... Em lagi satu i sempat siapkan new curtains for the girls room, for the boys nanti mama sihat mama buatkan okay.

Last Sunday, fardan demam again but recovered on Monday, tapi flu and cough still until today. Wednesday and thursday his cough very bad, dry cough and running nose, so thursday night bawak pergi Al-Noor hospital for check-up, and today getting better. Myself last friday and Saturday demam and flu, tak larat nak bangun tidur almost the whole day tapi bangun jugak masak breakfast nasi goreng and lunch kari ikan, nak masak lebih-lebih tak laratlah nampaknya.

This coming thursday, 1st February 2007, Fardan will start schooling for KG2 at Cambridge High School, hoping his enjoy and okay. Actually i takut dia menangis, because first time go to school and feel that his still small. Anyway, Fardan good and very brave boy. Sekarang ni Farhan tengah sibuk nak guna computer pulak sebab dah masuk turn dia, i may continue later...

New Year 2007

I would like to wish a happy new year 2007 to everyone. May this year make us more happy, prosperous, healthy, more peace and calmer in life plus lebih mensyukuri nikmat Allah s.w.t and menjadikan kita lebih beriman. For my children may this year make you all study harder to get a better result, so this summer your father may buy a ps for you all since we would stay here through the whole summer. My resolution this year, more cautious about health (since i'm turn forty this year), exercise regularly, eat healthy foods and learn new things that good to stimulate my brain. I need to set a target for these.

On 31 Dec 2006, we went to global village for a shopping, and I bought a leather jacket for me and kak Long since the winter still a few months to go. For the crystal just a survey and probably my next trip(which should be next week) I may buy. Anyway, that day very crowded, ramai betul and we need to go back early since Syazwan keep on reminded me on the Harry Potter movie (at channel One Dubai) started at 11.00pm. We left at 9.00pm.
